UfM Energy Platforms Coordination meeting
On 13 November 2023, the UfM Secretariat organised an online coordination meeting for the interim review of the implementation of the UfM Roadmap for Action on Energy. The Roadmap for Action, adopted by UfM Member States in 2022, provides a clear framework for implementing the commitments outlined in the UfM Energy Declaration. Its focus lies on key areas such as energy efficiency, climate investment improvement, regional electricity interconnections, and knowledge exchange.
The meeting comes at a time heading to COP28 in Dubai, which offers an ample opportunity for the stakeholders and UfM Members States to share their views on energy issues in the Mediterranean region and build upon this during their meetings and events within COP28.
